How do weighted grades work?
Weighted grades assign relative importance to different assignment categories regardless of raw point counts. An exam weighted at 40% has twice the impact of a paper weighted at 20%.
How do I calculate weighted grade manually?
Multiply each percentage grade by its decimal weight and add the results together. Example: (90% × 0.20) + (80% × 0.80) = 18 + 64 = 82%.
What if my weighted categories don't add up to 100% yet?
Divide your current weighted sum by the sum of completed category weights to find your current course standing.
